Scotophobia - Medical term for 'fear of the darkness'

This was a night study that i under took in the Royal Cornwall Hospital to try and show the medical term 'Scotophobia'. I wanted to see how i could provoke a viewer response to see the loneliness and quietness to a hospital.

human body and form

This was an examination of contortions within the human body and form.

This was a series of portraits I completed for a client in black and white.

self portraits

These self portraits were taken in the studio whilst undertaking a body study of myself and was my own interpretation of john Coplans style of self nude.

altered landscapes

I started to look at Lewis Baltz's work and the new topographers. I learnt that our landscape had been taken over by these man made industrial parks and now they were blocking the views of the landscape we used to have. Now we are faced with these prison like structures. I wanted to show slight humanistic elements like trees or cctv cameras but not to include people. There will definatley be more to come on this from myself. I want to show that the beautiful country we once new is now being taken over by these concrete jungles.
